visioning in the vast
the world is vast. and i am forever finding my place in it.
i have found that visioning in the vast helps. my vision board for 2015 centers around my word of the year: ESPRIT.
and around ALL that this word conjures up.
energy. color. enthusiasm. wit.
inspiring liveliness. (and loveliness.)
illuminating the path for all i want to do and see and be in the new year.
i came across an unfamiliar word this morning, and yet i immediately identified with it.
it usually refers to freeing grain, through a fanning process, from the lighter particles of chaff or dirt.
but it can mean the process of separating or distinguishing anything. valuable parts from worthless parts.
in a way the vision board performs that critical analysis for me. it forces me to concentrate on what is currently important. the rest - the unwanted impurities - can simply be blown away. after the sifting, only the pure substance remains. the materials of my life that deserve attention now. it has become imperative to me that, at this stage of my life, i learn to winnow the grain from the chaff.
it takes hard work, creativity, perseverance, and time. but eventually? i tend to make my dreams come true.
