weightless

so thin, she seemed almost ethereal, weightless.

but as the pounds slipped away, the pressures tightened their hold. the weight of the world bore down upon her.

then recovery and discovery beckoned. the passport to a new journey.    

    and today. a literal gain. yet a shift far beyond.

the weightlessness now signifying exhilaration and joy.

gaining strength. enlightenment. freedom.
