12 years
reuniting with argentina
twelve years since eric and i
had been to argentina
twelve years since a rather
regrettable incident in 2014
but now we’re finally back
and it was definitely time
buenos aires is still as energetic
and colorful as it ever was
but it’s also fresher, cleaner now
than ever before
vibrant and cosmopolitan
passionate, expressive, and warm
nicknamed the “paris of south america”
both romanticized and unexpected
yet in some small way
comfortably familiar to me
we’ve owned an apartment in the city
for a decade and a half now
and when we’re here
it feels like home
oh, how time just seems to extend and
expand without mind-numbing routine
we’ve been marveling at how much life
has been lived in only four days
truly one of my favorite places on earth
so very gratifying to reunite once more
